Abstract
23 year old male presented with complaint of inability to see temporal side of vision in left eye(LE) for past 7 days. Underwent LASIK 3 years back and injury to LE with volleyball 2 months back. LE examination showed normal anterior segment, normal visual acuity & Intra ocular pressure with temporal side hemianopia on Confrontation. Fundus showed pigments in AVF, 3X1mm sized tear in inferonasal quadrant with localized inferior retinal detachment. Gonioscopy showed features suggestive of angle recession in inferior quadrant . Ocular examination of Right eye was normal. He underwent LE-scleral buckling with ILO laser barrage. Post surgery IOP was normal in BE . On 2 months later, LE IOP was 30mm of Hg and gonioscopy revealed same findings, started on LE-Timolol eye drops BD. Studies shown angle closure glaucoma is common after sclera buckling with incidence of o.4-4.4%. Here we reported faster progression of angle recession into angle recession glaucoma following sclera buckling .
