Abstract
Method: Case Report and Brief Literature review.
Result: A 22 YO male presented with chief complain of double vision since 2 months.On examination OU Visual acuity 20/20,Pupillary reaction within normal limit, intermittent alternate exotropia 15° with restricted elevation and adduction restricted with contralateral abducting nystagmus on attempted gaze to contralesional side. Systemic history of fever with chills and rigor,convulsion and altered sensorium 2 months back for which patient was in ICU for 2 weeks.He was diagnosed with dengue viral haemorrhagic encephalitis with pontine and midbrain haemorrhage seen on MRI brain, which caused Bilateral internuclear ophthalmoplegia .
Conclusion: Bilateral Internuclear ophthalmoplegia due to post dengue hemorrhagic encephalopathy in pons and midbrain is extremely rare and has not been reported to the best of my knowledge.
