Abstract
Purpose: To study the clinical presentation and types of eyelid tumours and its histopathological confirmation
Methodology: A Prospective study of 57 patients was done .Data was collected and stratified based on gender,age,type based on histopatholoical examination and location of tumor
Results: A total of 57 tumour were noted during the study period. These included 33 (57.89%) cases of benign and 24(42.1%) cases of malignant.
Benign tumour was more common than malignant. Among benign tumour most common was Capillary Haemangioma (27.2%) .
Sebaceous cell carcinoma was the most frequent malignant tumour in our study (54.16%)
Conclusion: It is imperative to differentiate between benign and malignant eyelid tumors by their demographic and clinical characteristics.
Early detection and appropriate treatment can reduce the risk of cosmetic disfigurement and morbidity induced by these tumor.
