Abstract
Introduction-In india 0.9% population suffering from glaucoma out of which 10% go blind ever year.Diabetes and Myopia are related to glaucoma,but present study we are seeing hypertension relation in diagnosed case of glaucoma.AIM-Study aims to evaluate the prevalence of HTN in diagnosed case of glaucoma age above 50 years.Materials and Methods-Observational cross sectional study was conducted with 100 pts.Each pt undergone general examination,recording of blood pressure,f/b IOP measure by GAT.All results were recorded and analyzed in details.RESULTS-Out of 100 patients who were diagnosed case of glaucoma,8 pts were found to had hypertension.Among them 5 were male and 3 were female.Out of 8 patient, 2 were having Mild Hypertension ,4 were belong to Moderate Hypertension and 2 had Severe Hypertension.CONCLUSION-Prevalence of Hypertension in already diagnosed Glaucoma patients is 8% as per this study,this data suggest it may be associated with increase IOP but not significant risk factor.
