Abstract

Aim- To include fundus examination in routine immunization programs

Methods- An unique immunization card is followed in a tertiary health care center where examination of pupillary reflex is made mandatory in each visit of child for routine immunization. In case of any abnormality the child is referred to ophthalmology department.

Conclusion- Early detection is the key in the management of retinoblastoma. Every child is brought to the health care system at least 5 times before the age of 2 years for routine immunization. We should not miss this golden opportunity for early detection of retinoblastoma.
