Abstract
Purpose : To assess the efficacy of RINSE protocol for macular edema in retinal vein occlusion. Methods: A retrospective analysis was carried out on 122 eyes of 120 consecutive treatment-naïve RVO patients with ME who received our RINSE treatment protocol (Rvo treatment with ranIbizumab and Steroid implant ozurdex with lasEr photocoagulation) of initial anti-VEGF therapy, controlling recurrent nonischaemic macular edema with an intravitreal steroid and applying laser therapy to non-perfused retina. Results : 82 eyes had BRVO, 35 eyes CRVO. Initial loading doses of Injection Ranbizumab was given in 63 eyes and 59 eyes received biosimilar injection. Mean number of Injections was 3.7 at final follow up duartion of 8.2 months. Mean number of Steroid implant was 0.69 used in 58 eyes. BCVA improved from 0.78 to 0.38 logMAR and CMT improved from 598 to 249 (p<0.05). Conclusion : RINSE protocol achieved desirable anatomical and functional outcome in RVO patients with less number of injection
