Abstract
Introduction: to study impact of lock down on ocular injuries.
Methods: this was prospective cohort study we collected data during lockdown period 22 march to 30 th april of ocular injuries and collected data from emr during similar period of previous year. We compared data related presentation surgeries and pediatric injuries during these two period. Confounding factor may be we could not have data from outside districts because of travel restrictions.
Results: incidence of ocular injuries from 22march-30april 2019 were 56 wheres
From 22march-30april 2020 was 50.out of which 37.5%,50% required surgical treatment respectively in 2019 and 2020, when we studied about pediatric trauma we found 9% and 30% in 2019 and 2020
Conclusions: lock down due to covid had significant impact on ocular injuries.
