Abstract
CASE REPORT:A 35-year-old female presented to us with bilateral blurred vision & headache, started 3 weeks ago.The dimness of vision was gradual in onset, painless, without any h/o trauma.She was a non-smoker,normal BMI, without any comorbidities & was not on any long-term medication except OCP’s, she was taking for last 2 years.On examination visual acuity of R/E – 6/60 and L/E – 4/60.Anterior segment evaluation was normal but on fundoscopic examination revealed flame-shaped hemorrhages,dilated veins,cotton-wool exudate,narrow arteries and oedematous retina in supero-temporal retina of both eyes which was later confirmed on FFA.In our patient, we ruled out all other risk factors after doing pertaining investigations.The case was managed with further avoidance of oral contraceptives and intra-vitreal injections of Bevacizumab (Avastin), an anti-VEGF drug.
