Abstract

A 60 years old lady presented to us with recurrent episodes of pain , swelling & redness in nasal side of right upper lid along with slight redness in right eye.

On examination, right upper canalicular region was found to be inflammed along with presence of conjunctivitis.On applying pressure locally , following some resistance , there was expression of yellow material with discrete granules. Complete evacuation was done,patient was given topical antibiotic drops ,oral antibiotics with anti- inflammatory drugs & called after a week for incision & curettage .But patient was relieved totally following manual pressure evacuation only.

Till 1 month of follow up period , the patient didn’t have recurrence of either canaliculitis or conjunctivitis.
