Abstract
Introduction:In vernal keratoconjunctivitis,inclusion cyst is an atypical presentation
Case discussion: 14 y/o boy, with complains of BE itching & burning sensation (on & off) since 1&1/2 years associated with redness, stringy discharge, watering, mild photophobia, FB sensation and increased frequency of blinking
On examination:RE vision 6/12 ph 6/6(p). A conjunctival cyst of size 5*5mm on supero-temporal region; congestion around limbus present;Macro-papillae on tarsal conj. Corneal opacity 1*1mm partially involving stroma just below pupil; 360* regressed pannus present.
LE vision 6/6. Macro-papillae on tarsal conjunctiva; congestion around limbus present. Cornea 360* regressed pannus present.
A diagnosis of VKC with conjunctival inclusion cyst was made and treated with topical antihistaminics, topical steroids with regular follow up.
Conclusion:VKC can have atypical finding of conjuctival inclusion cyst which form due to mechanical friction between giant papillae and conjunctiva.
