Abstract
An 18 year old woman presented with painless progressive diminution of vision of both eyes since 6 years. On examination, the distant vision was FC @ 2metre in both the eyes with pinhole vision of 6/60 and near vision was N12, the colour vision was defective. She had no history of any ocular pathology or ocular trauma in the past. There is also no history of any systemic illness and the family history of any similar diminution of vision loss is insignificant. The anterior segment was found to be within normal limit. Fundus examination revealed macular atrophy with surrounding flakes in both the eyes. OCT revealed deep retinal deposit and ERG showed normal response. Perimetry revealed central visual loss. On refraction, the Best Corrected Visual Acuity was found to be 6/36(p) for both eyes with spherical lenses of -2.50 DS for right eye and -2.25 DS for left eye with near vision of N12.
This is a case of STARGARDTS DISEASE and is currently under follow up.
