Abstract
OBJECIVE:To report a case of 13 yr old MCH with DMD who presented with C/O diminution of vision in both eyes with associated nyctalopia.VA:BE:6/60.Anterior Segment:PSC+Posterior segment:Drusens+in BE.EOM:Full.IOP:WNL.The child underwent SICS with PCIOL and postop period was uneventful
Associated waddling gait, Gowers sign+,calf hypertrophy,reduced IQ was present.
Conclusion:In patients on GC therapy for DMD,rate of cataract formation is slow and well tolerated and those requiring cataract extraction was very small.But it is still appropriate to schedule annual eye examinations for such patients to rule out the same
