Abstract
Scleral fixated IOL is an important and widely used method to treat aphakia in absence of any capsular support. However this technique has a steep learning curve especially for an anterior segment surgeon. There is always a chance of slippage and IOL drop in the vitreous. In this paper/poster we demonstrated a novel technique to prevent IOL drop. Here we used 2 loops of 6 o silk to warp around haptics . 1st loop was introduced in AC through a side port and leading haptic was passed though the loop and externalized. 2nd loop was introduced in AC and externalize through main wound. Then it was wrapped around trailing haptic. During insertion of IOL these 2 loops supported the IOL and prevented IOL drop. This technique is easy and can be done by any anterior segment surgeon without any worry,
