Abstract
A rare autoimmune condition seen in young adults more common in pigmented races. It is usually characterised by poliosis, vitiligo, alopecia, chronic anterior uveitis, posterior uveitis with exudative detachments. A 53 year old male presented with diminution of vision in both eyes with fever and throbbing frontal headache for 20 days. His BCVA was 1/60(OD) and 6/18(OS). Ocular examination of both eyes showed conjunctival congestion with anterior chamber inflammation cells grade II with fine KPs. Fundus examination showed bilateral disc edema with exudative retinal detachment. FFA revealed extensive areas of pinpoint leakage. OCT showed extensive areas of subretinal fluid and Bscan revealed chorio-retinal thickening with subchoroidal fluid. Patient was treated with intravenous steroids and showed dramatic improvement in one week. A 1 year review showed signs of poliosis of eyelashes and sunset glow fundus with visual recovery well maintained.
