Abstract
Purpose:To report case of ocular injury due to blast of mobile charger.Method:39yr old male presented with H/o blast injury. He had sustained injury to neck,chest,abdomen & both eyes. Patient ℅ DOV in both eyes, pain & bleeding in left eye after injury with no other systemic complaints.Results:Ocular examination revealed OD vision of 6/12, open globe injury(1.5mm length,TypeA,Zone 2),multiple superficial corneal foreign bodies,hyphema & OS No perception of light, open globe injury(typeA involving all zones), uveal tissue prolapsed with severely altered globe contour & lid hematoma. Fundoscopy of RE revealed normal disc & vessels with minimal vitreous haemorrhage. Patient managed with OD primary repair of globe rupture and OS evisceration Conclusion:Victims of blast injury sustain multiple injuries, ocular morbidity is common too. They need to be managed with radiological evaluation and surgical treatment. Society need to be cautious about using duplicate or low cost electrical gadgets
