Abstract
Ocular samples are vital for diagnosis. They maybe used for microbiology, histopathology and cytological examination. This course will help every Ophthalmologist to learn the indications for collection of samples in cases such lid tumors, infective keratitis, melanoma, intraocular lymphoma, endophthalmitis, ocular tuberculosis, masquerade syndromes etc.
The speakers shall teach the technique of collecting various samples from the eye which maybe vital for the diagnosis and management of the patient followed by the storage of the collected samples till they reach the lab. The technique of processing and inoculating the samples on various culture medias will be taught by an ocular pathologist.
