Abstract
The advent of and improvements in wide-field imaging technology now provides clinicians with an excellent simultaneous visualization of the fundus of both eyes without dilation. For the patient, fundus imaging can decrease in-office wait time and eliminate side effects of dilation. For the clinician, it can provide an opportunity to use the patient’s own image to discuss findings —thus improving patient care with visual education. The participants attending this IC will be given 3D glasses to experience the stereoscopic images in 3D. At the end of the session, participants will take home, how side by side comparison of both eyes with stereopsis help in picking up additional clinical findings than slit lamp for tracking progression and future comparisons, to set their standards straight. The dollars and sight economics in photography has been addressed for neophytes. This IC also guides to set prototypes for machine learning (AI) in photography for customised morphometric analysis.
