Abstract
Glaucoma diagnosis is fairly clear in most cases but difficulties arise in its diagnosis and determination of progression in atypical cases. Cases of high myopia with attendant abnormalities of the posterior segment prevent clinicians from including optic disc features for diagnosis. This gets compounded when patients have undergone refractive surgery and then developed glaucoma. Another subset of patients are those with macular disorders, especially ARMD in which, management of one may affect the other. Neurological disorders and patients with psychological disorders need special care for glaucoma management. Corneal diseases and their attendant surgeries also are another problematic area with concomitant glaucoma.
Our aim is to provide easy algorithms to manage these atypical patients who are seen in increasing numbers on a day to day basis.
