Abstract

Retinopathy of prematurity is the leading cause of preventable blindness in the world. India has the largest number of preterm births. The challenge of setting up or maintaining an ROP screening program are many. This instruction course for the last few years has addressed these basic issues that anyone who is interested in ROP care, may seek to clarify. The format is a Q&A with an interactive panel of speakers who are among the senior ROP experts across the country. The approach is case and video based to demonstrate simple yet important components of ROP screening and treatment which can be used during the practice and management of this important disease.
