Abstract
The patients of glaucoma progress sometimes despite control of Intraocular Pressure (IOP). The non-IOP risk factors have been implicated to have major role, of which vascular factors especially Ocular Blood Flow (OBF) & Ocular Perfusion Pressure have been shown to be pertinent in glaucoma management by several Indian & global studies. Thus, assessment of OBF can be an important adjunct to glaucoma management. But there are still few lacunae and caveat areas regarding the issue of OBF.
This course will deal with basics & clinical aspects of OBF along with other pertinent issues that needs to be dealt prudently. It will also teach the attendees the measurement modalities, techniques to perform the measurement by video based demonstration with its clinical / therapeutic implications by case based scenarios. The attendees will be confident enough to perform the test themselves and will be assertive about its implications & confounders at the end of course.
