Abstract
Negative Dysphotopsia(ND) is a term used to describe a set of complaints presented by patients after a perfectly executed cataract surgery. In recent times ND has caught the attention of the surgeons. A number of theories and a plethora of treatment modalities have been described in the literature. However there are still huge gaps in its understanding in the minds of general ophthalmologists. Worse is that in the absence of any effective solution, most of the times surgeon tends to downplay or ignore the patients’ complaints. This results in patients’ losing confidence in the treatment being provided and greatly undermines the Doctor Patient Relationship. Present Instruction Course is intended to provide surgeons better understanding of ND so that they can confidently differentiate ND from other non-specific complaints. It will educate them about various treatment modalities available to treat ND and choose the best one for their patients.
