A middle aged male patient presented to neurologist with headache, vomiting,blurring of vision in left eye for 1 month,on CEMRI diagnosed as neurocysticercosis started on oral steroid (1mg/kg ) and oral anticonvulsant, referred to ophthalmologist for funds evaluation. O/E best corrected visual acuity in right eye 20/20, left eye 20/30, on fundus evaluation diagnosed as subretinal cysticercosis with RPE pigmentary changes around the cyst. patient posted for surgery for pars plans vitrectomy with sub retinal cyst aspiration. surgery completed uneventfully without any complication . postoperatively topical antibiotics, oral and topical steroids and anticonvulsant given. patient is on follow up now.
