Abstract

A 37 yrs female presented with history of gradually progressive increase in growth i.e bump in right eye from 2 months. She had history of trauma in childhood at 6 yrs of age with vegetable cutter and underwent phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation 3 yrs back.

Slit lamp examination showed an iris cyst from 7- 10 o’ clock with central adherent scar. UBM showed a multiloculated iris cyst from 7-10 o’ clock.She underwent iris cyst aspiration and intracystic alcohol injection .The video demonstrates how a multiloculated 4 clock hour cyst causing ovalisation and shifting of pupil could be collapsed, by careful aspiration using 26G needle and the clearing of the entire pupillary area as the cyst collapsed. Intracystic injection of alcohol was performed using 30G needle for 90 second and then washed using BSS. Procedure was uneventful and in postoperative follow-up patient recovered well.
