Abstract
A diagnosis of dumbbell dermoid involving left orbit and temporal fossa was thus made.
A planned intraoperative decompression of dermoid cyst was planned with independant removal of both the orbital and temporal fossa components along with removal and cauterisation of communicating intra-osseus sinus tract. Operative field was flushed with saline and tricot an layered closure was done. 2 year follow-up showed no recurrence. This procedure helped us avoid more invasive bone cutting orbitotomy without any risk of recurrence or postoperative inflammation.
