Abstract
The conjunctiva was opened, a 3-mm-wide opening in sclera was noted with scleral buckle incarceration. The buckle was explanted while, band was cut and left in situ. An attempt to close the wound with 8–0 nylon suture failed. A donor scleral patch graft was affixed with 10–0 nylon suture. Post operatively the retina was attached and intraocular pressure was maintained.
Second patient is a case is of scleral dehiscence following severe scleral thinning with hypotony and hypotonic maculopathy with formation of conjunctival cyst.
The conjunctival cyst was opened and scleral patch graft was affixed with 10–0 nylon suture. Postoperatively the intraocular pressure built up and no leak was noted.
Donor scleral patch graft remains a very important and handy tool in restoring the structural integrity of the eye.
