Abstract

Dislocated intraocular lens (IOL) is one the common complication of cataract surgery in the learning curve. It is a challenging surgery requiring experience and skill. The surgery becomes more challenging, if you have two IOLs in one eye. Apart from the one IOL in the vitreous cavity, other IOL can be in the vitreous cavity, sulcus, or in the anterior chamber. These IOL can be PMMA, three-piece foldable, single-piece foldable, or iris claw lenses. Once you have desperate situation like posterior capsular rent, cataract surgeons end up taking desperate measures to take care of complication, which in turn leads to a challenging scenario for vitreoretinal surgeon.

In this video, we demonstrate different case scenarios, in which there were two IOLs in the eye. We will also be demonstrating the step wise optimal management of these situations to get good results.
