Abstract
Optic Disc Pit (ODP) is an oval depression in the optic disc. It is suggested that CSF enters intra & subretinal spaces from subarachnoid space through ODP defect causing macular schisis, (ODP-M). Vitreous traction is responsible for ODP-M. Current modalities of treatment include PPV with laser & ILM peeling & / gas tamponade. Inverted autologus ILM transplant with endolaser temporal to disc & gas tamponade is being tried for ODP-M. In this technique PPV done, PVD induced, BBG injected, ILM stained & peeling done & then the peeled ILM was inverted & used to close the Optic Disc Pit. Fluid air exchange done & endolaser done temporal to optic disc & C3F8 gas injected. This technique resulted in satisfactory anatomical outcome with good functional improvement in visual acuity. It is less traumatic with more fruitful results compared to autologus scleral graft technique / macular buckling.
