Abstract
Setting/Venue: rural eastern Indian eye hospital at India.
Methods: After peribulbal block, surgeon decided to go with phacoemulcification surgery. but after the compromised Capsulorhexis surgeon decided to convert into small incision cataract extraction.
Results: There was poor dilatation, improper staining with blue dye, compromised rhexis, difficult hydro prolapse, unstable PCIOL implantation…… but still achieve favorable outcome.
Conclusions: Timely taken decision and timely changing the mind is a great virtue of a average surgeon with courage makes a huge difference.
