Abstract

The film demonstrates the technique of scleral fixation with a modified 4 -flanged technique of fixation of a rigid IOL for management of aphakia. The technique is shown in a step by step manner & in a simplified way, to enable a clear understanding of the procedure. We also discuss our experience through an average of 9 months follow-up with this technique. The feasibility and initial experience with a new foldable IOL designed for this purpose has also been shown. We believe that the film would help many surgeons who wish to learn a simplified technique of scleral fixation which is safe, effective and less complicated to perform.
