Abstract
Method : A group of ophthalmology residents and junior doctors enacted out the process of squint case examination in five different scenarios. These consisted of evaluation of vision in a case of face turn, testing of Hirschberg reflex, cover uncover test, extra-ocular motility and prism cover test.
Results : This video demonstrates the common mistakes that a resident does during examination of a strabismus case. The correct approach has also been demonstrated in a step-wise manner.
Conclusion : Evaluation and assessment in strabismology is one of the most difficult tasks that a resident faces and therefore, must learn properly during his/her curriculum. A step by step approach under expert guidance can help in overcoming these challenges during residency.
