Abstract

There is a constant debate whether there is generation of aerosols during the process of phacoemulsification or not. Till the time the debate is settled and proved beyond doubt, to protect the phaco surgeons for any possible aerosols, CORONA PHACO TENT is the solution. This is an innovation to protect the PHACOEMULSIFICATION CATARACT SURGERY team from the possible aerosols generated during phaco cataract surgery or the possible virus presence in the fluids of the eye. The CORONA PHACO TENT creates a physical barrier to the surgeons enabling them to do safe phacoemulsification cataract surgery. This uses simple and easily available sterile materials to create our own barrier against the deadly virus.
