Abstract

A 50 years old male underwent bleb excision and conjunctival autograft who presented with chief complaint of diminution of vision, foreign body sensation and whitish mass in the right eye since last 1 year . He had a significant history of trabeculectomy with mitomycin c in both the eyes and not ant any antiglaucoma medication. The bleb was seidel’s test negative and optic disc showed advanced glaucomatous cupping. Patient improved symptomatically and his intraocular pressure was controlled with one medication.

Overhanging bleb is a well documented complication of trabeculectomy with Mitomycin C. In our case conservative method was not an option as it would not reduce the symptoms of such a huge bleb. Total bleb excision and conjunctival autograft is one of the preferred method for managing such cases.
