Abstract
38 year old male patient presented to us with the chief complain of diminution of vision in right eye since 2 weeks. Patient had history of blunt trauma to right eye by tennis ball. BCVA RE CFCF LE: 6/6 N6 Full thickness macular hole with ERM & atrophic retina & disturbed retinal vasculature inferior arcade. The patient was operated with Right eye 25 G Vitrectomy Sx +PVD induction+ BBG injection + ILM peeling around retinal hole & macula + wet amniotic membrane graft taken & placed over retinal hole + FAX + C3F8 gas injection done,This newer technique reported that AMG placed over the macular hole bridge the tissue gap and provide a scaffold which the surrounding retinal tissue can overfill to successfully close the macular hole.We hope to follow this case till 1 year and believe to hypothesized that secreted growth factors may stimulate retinal repair and macular hole will close with near normal retinal histology and reasonable good vision in future.
