Abstract
Purpose:1)To determine the various epidemiological factors.2)To determine modifiable factors, find preventable measures and improve the prognosis.3)To determine the visual outcome in post cataract surgery. Methods:A sample of 62 patients with LIG was selected for the study.Results:Phacomorphic:49.9%Phacolytic:46.7% Phacotopic:1.6%,Lens particle glaucoma:1.6%.Age:< 50years:6.45%,60-70 years:54.83% ,>70yrs:14.15% Female:63.29%,Male:34.92%Rural:58.06%,Urban:41.93%Spouse:Alive:45.90%,Dead:53.22%Duration of DOV:<1yr:25.80%1-3yrs:51.62%,3-5yrs:15.10%SES:lower:38.70%.Post op vision:6/24 -6/18:40%CONCLUSION:According to this study, phacomorphic and phacolytic are the most common.LIG common in age group of 60-70 years, Female ratio is more in LIG ,more common in residents of rural area, more in Lower SES,most patients have duration of DOV (1-3years) and hospital visit in one week of presenting complaints(redness/pain). In most patients visual prognosis is good( from PL+ve to 6/24-6/18).[advanced_iframe src="https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/embed.aspx?src=https://aiosproceedings.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/2021/E-Poster/FP1036.pptx" width="100%" height="608"]
