Abstract
Conjuctival hairs were removed under Slit Lamp. On furthur exploring bulbar conjunctival nodule in OT a hair was seen embedded deep in the sclera which was removed under microscope.
Discussion- Fine, pointed caterpillar setae can migrate into the eye with globe movement and eye rubbing. Toxins within the hollow spine may exacerbate inflammatory reaction and can lead to chronic conjunctivitis, corneal scars, cataract, vitritis, macular edema. Hence prompt diagnosis and management is required.
