Abstract
To report outcome of management of a case with marfanoid habitus with (BE) microspherophakia with (RE) anterior dislocation of lens causing pupillary block . Methods: A 8 year old male patient was brought to the op with complaints of severe pain in the right eye since 10days.There was history of usage of thick glasses since 7 months.There was history of consanguinity. Examination: AR readings (RE) -18/-3.00*10 (LE) -15/-4.00*10 BCVA in (BE) was 6/36 with -16.00Dsph (RE) corneal edema and lens in AC. (LE) microspherophakia with superior subluxation of the lens.ATN (RE) 46&(LE) 14mm hg. Axial length was (RE)21.22mm and(LE) 22.10mm. General examination: Patient was tall and slender with arm span more than height. Management:(RE) anti glaucoma medication f/b lens extraction and anterior vitrectomy with scleral fixated iol. Review for other eye surgery and family member screening advised. Results and conclusions: Post operatively patient was comfortable and vision improved to 6/24 at 2weeks
