Abstract
AIM:Evaluate repeatability & agreement between 3 biometers for anterior segment parameters & intraocular lens(IOL)power calculation
Method:3 measurements from 3 biometers in 127eyes were compared for Axial Length(AL),Central corneal thickness(CCT), Aqueous depth (AD), keratometry(Km) &white to white(WTW).Accuracy of IOL power 1-month postoperatively was analyzed
Results:Mean within-subject standard deviation(SD) for AL, AD, Km &WTW was 0.09mm,0.03mm,0.16D&0.08mm for Anterion, 0.017,0.04,0.04& 0.05 for Lenstar &0.03,0.12,0.14&0.17 for IOL Master.Intraclass Correlation>0.98 for all parameters.Mean(SD) values of AL,AD,&WTW 23.40(0.007)mm, 2.74(0.007)mm,11.96(0.01)mm from Lenstar, 23.31(0.16),2.80(0.01), 12.11(0.55) from Anterion &23.43(0.025),2.51(0.13),12.07(0.17) from IOL master.Mean(SD) residual refraction 1-month was least -0.06(1.33)for Anterion
Conclusion:Lenstar had maximum repeatability for parameters studied. Anterion had least IOL prediction error followed by IOLMaster &Lenstar
