Abstract
In this study 68 normal subjects and 67 glaucoma subjects were studied. One eye of each subject was studied using OCT angiography on Zeiss angioplex and significance of the ONH scanning in the normal and glaucoma was studied. It compares ONH angiography values provided like flux index and perfusion percentage between normal and glaucomatous eyes. These values prove to be significantly lower than normal eyes in glaucoma in superior and inferior quadrants and in the overall for both flux index and perfusion percentage. This study divides the glaucoma group into POAG, PACG and NTG and the values of flux index and perfusion percentage are significantly lower than normal in superior and inferior quadrants in all three types suggesting and confirming the fact that glaucoma affects the superior and inferior neural rim first. It also suggests that the values are significantly lower than normal in all types of glaucoma and can be used for their diagnosis and monitoring of progression.
