Abstract
Aim is to report case of a 25 year old boy presented in emergency department with massive proptosis , exposure keratopathy and conjunctival necrosis following a blunt trauma. Following assault 5 days ago.History of previous treatment in form of intravenous antibiotics, antiglaucoma medications and lateral canthotomy performed. Examination finding revealed PL denied , Massive proptosis right eye with total ophthalmoplegia .Cornea dull , dry and keratinized ,Conjuctiva necrosed with eschar formation ,Lateral canthotomy scar and fresh bleeding from conjunctiva and canthotomy site,Pupil was dilated and fixed.,Orbital imaging revealed – Right sided proptosis with massive retrobulbar haemorrhage. Presence of air in right periorbital with pan haemosinus. Patient started on intravenous antiglaucoma and antibiotics. Eye patch with antibiotics and topical lubricant for few days after conjunctival debridement.
