Abstract
Method: Supranuclear gaze palsies was taught in the standard way and a written test was taken. The same topic was taught as before but also with the aid of these simple flow diagrams and a separate written test taken.
Results: The marks of both written tests were compared. There was a marked improvement in the marks after the new teaching technique was employed.
Conclusion: This simple technique should be used to teach Optometry students this particular topic. It could also be adapted to teach other topics as well.
