Abstract
75 year old female presented with gradual and painless diminution of vision in both eyes for 3 months. On examination, her BCVA was Finger Counting at 2 meters in right eye and 6/12 in left eye. On dilated fundus examination, right eye showed asteroid hyalosis with well circumscribed reddish flat lesion in the foveal region while in left eye, foveal reflex was absent with pigment clumping and right angled venule. OCT of right eye showed inner lamellar cyst, central IS/OS loss with foveal thinning and ILM drape sign. Left eye OCT showed loss of foveal contour with cystic spaces in inner and outer layers in temporal area of macula. Inner retinal hypereflections due to pigment clumps and shadow corresponding to telangiectatic vessels were seen.
Conclusion: Morphological characteristics of macular layers in OCT helps in assessing and understanding the progression of macular telangiectasia.
