Abstract
STUDY DESIGN: Analytical Cross sectional.
PERIOD OF STUDY: September 2018 to june 2020
STUDY POPULATION: patients attending outpatient department (OPD) of the Department of Ophthalmology ,40-80 yrs of age in Tertiary Care Centre in Western Maharashtra
Results: Out of 110, there were 61 (55.5%) males and 49 (44.5%) females with mean age of 58.81 ± 6.3 years. 14 (12.7%) of subject were having macular edema. Central macular thickness increases with age, HBA1C and duration of diabetes increases & hypertension (p<0.05). Mean central macular thickness was significantly higher in subjects with HBA1C ≥ 6.6 (Right & left, p 0.001 & 0.002 respectively). Conclusion: The study revealed many statistically significant correlation of diabetic macular odema and diabetic retinopathy with age, HBA1C level, duration of diabetes and hypertension.[advanced_iframe src="https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/embed.aspx?src=https://aiosproceedings.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/2021/E-Poster/FP2196.pptx" width="100%" height="608"]
