Abstract
To compare the predictive accuracy by different IOL power calculation formulae in eyes of patients with short & long axial lengths ,a study is being carried outin Ophthalmology Dept, DDU Hospital, N. Delhi on patients undergoing phaco with PCIOLimplantation for uncomplicated senile cataract. Axial length and anterior chamber depth is measured with A scan immersion ultrasound, K is measured with automated keratometry and Calculation of IOL power is done by IOL formulae (SRKT, Hoffer Q, Holladay1 , Kane, Hill RBF, Barrett universal 2 ). Patients are divided into 2 groups having 60 patients each based on the axial length (AL) –GROUP 1 (AL <22) and GROUP 2 (AL >26). Postoperatively, evaluation is being done on 1day, 4weeks, 6 weeks and 8 weeks after the surgery. Then estimation error and absolute estimation error using different IOL power calculation formulae is calculated
Result and Conclusion:The final result and conclusions shall be presented at the conference.
