Abstract
AIM: To image the morphology of trabeculectomy bleb using ASOCT and correlate with bleb function. Method: 34 eyes of 31 patients with primary open angle glaucoma underwent trabeculetomy. Bleb morphology using ASOCT was studied at 1 month and ASOCT morphology features were correlated with IOP measured at 1,3 and 6 months. IOP is considered as a measure of success of surgery. Statistical significance noted at p value <0.05. Result: Among the 34 eyes 30 eyes had successful surgery defined by IOP <= 18mmHg; 4 eyes had failed trabeculectomy. At 6 months Multiforme bleb pattern had surgical success 20 times than uniform bleb pattern (p=0.020); among subtypes of Multiforme blebs; blebs with microcysts and subconjunctival separation was highly significant(p=0.007).
