Abstract
CASE DISCUSSION: A 51 year old male presented with complaint of BE DOV in LE since 4 years & RE since 3 year and more in LE. LE DOV was gradual, progressive & painless associated with glare.He underwent LE phacoemulsification with IOL implantation 1 year back,after 1.5 month of surgery he noticed DOV in LE. Vision in his RE 6/60 and in LE 2/60, Anterior segment-RE was normal,LE Pupil sluggishly reacting to light, and white reflex of capsular opacity. RE fundus was normal and LE fundus not visible due to opacification in lens.Systemic examination was WNL.This patient underwent Nd-yag laser treatment after which his vision of LE improved.
CONCLUSION: This patient after phacoemulsification developed capsular phimosis which causes decreased vision in operated eye.
