Abstract
Objective of study is to compare refractive errors following traumatic cataract surgeries amongst sub categories of OGI.
Method
This is a prospective cohort study enrolled traumatic cataract caused by open globe injury,we enrolled patients and collected data from our EMR.All data are exported and analyzed using spss 22.univariate and multivariate analyses tools used and p value<0.05 considered significant. Result Our cohort has 153 eyes out of which 53(34%) globe rupture and 101(66%) penetrating injury. Out of total 153 eyes 62.7% males and 37.3% female. Surgical intervention was significantly effective in for visual outcome;we found significant difference in spherical and cylinder values post operatively amongst globe rupture and penetrating category(p=0.00) Conclusion : There is significant difference amongst refractive errors following surgical procedure done for traumatic cataract for subcategories of open globe injuries, better results achieved in penetrating[advanced_iframe src="https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/embed.aspx?src=https://aiosproceedings.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/2021/E-Poster/FP515.pptx" width="100%" height="608"]
