Abstract
Purpose:To evaluate the Swept source OCT angiography characteristics of activity in mCNV
Methods: Imaging records of patients with mCNV over one year were categorized into Active (A) group, inactive Fibrotic (F) group. Cases from the A group which regressed following anti-VEGF therapy and remained so for at least 6 months formed the Remission (R) group . Qualitative and quantitative features on OCTA images were compared among the groups
Results: 19 eyes of 19 patients were included. The interlacing pattern (7/12 eyes, 58.3%) and the dead tree pattern (6/7 eyes, 85.7%) were specific for A and F groups (p<0.01) respectively. The R group showed poorly defined pattern (5/7 eyes,71%). The mean area (mm2) was higher in the F (F:1.635vsA:0.604,p=0.007) and R groups (R:1.119 vs A:0.364,p=0.031) whereas the vascular-density (%) was lower in the F (F: 66.3 vs A: 83.4, p=0.002) and R groups (R:72.1 vs A:86.7,p=0.016). Conclusion: Our study provides OCTA features of 3 clinical stages of mCNV.
