Abstract
Purpose: To correlate microscope-integrated optical coherence tomography (MiOCT) guided implantable collamer lens (ICL) vaulting in predicting post-operative vault
Methods: Prospective interventional case series of 32 eyes who underwent ICL implantation. Vault was measured intra-operatively with MiOCT and was correlated with postoperative vault measured with ASOCT at 6 hours, day1, day2, day3/4, 1week, 2week and 6week
Results: Mean refractive error was -9.65D. Mean intra-operative central vault was 584.5±210.5μm and postoperative were 612.8±218.2μm on day1, 578.6±204.8μm on 1week and 574.1±204.3 μm on 6week. MiOCT over predicted the final vault in 80% of the eyes (mean 3.39±4.2%) and under predicted in 20% (mean 2.43±1.62%) and in overall it overpredicted by 1.9%. Postoperative vault can be predicted using 8.84+(0.96*intraoperative vault) with a mean error of 12.99±11.91μm
Conclusion: Intraoperative OCT is a good tool in predicting the final post-operative vault after ICL implantation
