Abstract
Cataract surgery is one of the most common and successful surgical procedures performed today.However,subluxated cataract poses difficulty regarding nucleus management and the risk of nucleus drop.This video based course aims to explore techniques of tackling various degrees of subluxated cataracts.Also, addressed would be the use of CTR, Cionni’s ring ,CTR segments,iris hooks and role of Femtolaser in these cases.
Also,subluxation of IOL is another condition which results in numerous complications.In cases where IOL is subluxated and it is interfering with visual quality, the second intervention is needed.And with respect to this, there is not one best technique for all these scenarios. In this didactic video based course,the tips would be given regarding IOL repositioning/exchange,scleral fixated IOL/Glued IOL and retrofixation of iris claw Lens.
