Abstract

Like it or hate it but you surely cannot ignore it. Information technology’s (IT) foray into ophthalmology has changed the ways of practice and put it firmly on the path of digitisation. The increasing awareness about the powers of IT and its applicability has not only meant more widespread use, but sounded the alarm of caution as well. The use of IT in ophthalmology practice will result in a paradigm shift and like all other new avenues, involves fresh learning process for the uninitiated, about the application, process, advantage, pitfalls and most importantly caution to be taken. This instruction course aims to highlight how this technology can benefit us in various ways and help in continued growth in today’s tech-savy .Teleophthalmology is the next Frontier to concur.
